Activities in Summit County , Colorado. Take a day trip or vacation to  mountain towns like Breckenridge, Frisco, Copper Mountain , Dillon  Silverthorne , Keystone, or Leadville. Activities  don't have to cost a lot of money.

You can Enjoy activities like the, farmer’s market, bike  tours,atv tours, jeep tours, horseback riding, ziplining  and  festivals. There are plenty of ways to enjoy Summit County.

FRISCO

1.  See how the  settlers lived in Frisco during the 1800’s. Walk through the original schoolhouse, jail and chapel, or watch a train go through Frisco of 100 years ago.

2.  Get a  map of Frisco at the Information Center and experience eight historic locations you can easily walk to from downtown.

3.  Enjoy a picnic to one of Frisco’s 7 parks.4. Take a Hike or mountain bike through the many trails around Frisco, Colorado.

4  Purchase a Colorado fishing license and go fishing  in Frisco’s beautiful Lake Dillon in Frisco or fly fish in the many scenic  streams in and around Frisco, Colorado.

5.  Take a bike ride on the paved trail in Frisco either up to Breckenridge or to Copper Mountain or around beautiful Lake Dillon. Another option is to take a free shuttle up to Copper Mountain and ride down the Bike path back to Frisco, downhill all the way.

6.  Go shopping along Frisco’s historic main street or go up to Breckinridge a short 9 miles away and experience the many shops to bring home memories of your Colorado vacation.

7. Adventurous? Load up your bike and go to the Frisco Bike Park to practice your skills in the pump track and the dirt jumps.

8.  Play Disc Golf  on the Peninsula Recreation Area. Open daily 6am–10pm during the summer.

BRECKENRIDGE

9.  Take a  walk along the Riverwalk just off of Main St.  For the more adventurous, Breckenridge has countless miles of hiking trails.  Take a Breckenridge jeep tour , a Breckenridge horseback ride, go fly fishing in Breckenridge,  or get a bike rental in Breckenridge.

10.  Take a self-guided historic tour of Breckenridge.

11.  The Welcome Center in Breckenridge is now a museum featuring displays  from the 1880s and the town’s growth  from the gold-mining days to its present day  Victorian ski village.

12.   Carter Park also features a free dog park that’s a great place to socialize.

13.  The Breckenridge Kayak Park is the longest in Colorado and has water features that will challenge all levels of boaters.

14.  Drive over scenic Boreas Pass or Hoosier Pass and take unforgettable photo’s.

15.  Enjoy a free gondola ride.

COPPER MOUNTAIN

16.  Climb to the peak of Copper Mountain or walk along the Colorado Trail.

17. Have fun and  explore Copper by Bumper cars or Paddleboat!

18.  (FAC) Fridays at Copper while the summer lasts include free evening concerts and outdoor movies.

DILLON

19.  Take a scenic bike ride around beautiful Lake Dillon.

20.  Enjoy live entertainment from at Dillon’s summer Farmers’ Markets on Friday’s. check schedule.

21.  Fourth of July is a party day in Summit County which includes live music, parades and outstanding fireworks. The town of Dillon goes all out with, a boat parade, a free concert and a fireworks display over Frisco Bay.

22. During the summer enjoy free art festivals.

23.  Sunset at the Summit Concert Series.  Live music , check schedule.

24.  Incredible views from hikes for the whole family through the Dillon Nature Preserve. Trails have educational signs about the history of the area.

KEYSTONE

25.   Stunning views of the Lake Dillon Reservoir and the Ten mile Range, drive or bike up Swan Mountain Road to Sapphire Point which is between Keystone and Breckenridge.

26. Take a  Ride on Keystone’s River Run Gondola up to 11,640 feet for amazing views of Lake Dillon, Breckenridge and the mountains.

27. Mountain bike on the trails around Keystone.

28.  Enjoy  a picnic lunch  at Keystone Lake.

SILVERTHORNE

29.  Go to the Silverthorne Skate Park and try your skills on the rails, ramps and jumps.

Don’t forget to book your lodging in Frisco or Breckenridge well in advance and enjoy the many restaurants in Breckenridge and Frisco as well.
