A-Basin open for the 2017- 2018 Season

Yes – The ski and riding season has begun, October 13th Arapahoe Basin in Colorado is the first ski area to open in the Rockies. The “ Basin “ as referred to locals is about 45 miles west from Denver.

The Basin has a summit of 13,050 feet in elevation and over 100 trails to ski and ride during the season. The terrain consists of open bowls, steep chutes , glades and groomed slopes. Beginner to extreme with double black diamond bumps and hike to chutes. Annual snowfall is over 350 inches and over 900 acres to ski and ride, the season one of the longest in the Rockies is from October to mid June.

This new terrain will add approximately 468 acres of skiable terrain to Arapahoe Basin, bringing the ski area’s total acreage to 1,428 acres upon completion of the project. The new terrain will accommodate a wide range of skiers, from intermediates to experts.
