Family Owned & Operated. The Phoenix Gold Mine was purchased in 1968 by our family of 4th generation, Colorado miners. In 1988, we decided to share our passion for prospecting, mining and panning for gold with others by offering tours.Take a gold mine tour and learn about the history of the mine and the area. Discover the beauty of our two gold veins. Our guides will tell you about the old time prospectors and show the mining equipment they used. Learn how the gold ore is processed. Our guides are entertaining and knowledgeable. The tour is fun for all ages and abilities! We are family friendly and dog friendly!
