Historic Eagle, the county seat, is located to the west of Vail and is the essence of Americana…and the original compact city, with a traditional main street lined with shops and cafes. Eagle was once dependent upon mining and agriculture, today’s economy is driven by tourism. The Vail and Beaver Creek ski resorts are located just 30-minutes away and the Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport is only 5-minutes from town.
